A pleasant week is ahead for the Northwest, with the only weather disturbance being a weak system that will brush the coast on Thursday. That system will bring light rain to the coast and increased clouds to the interior.

Let’s take a look at the temperature forecast.

On Wednesday, expect highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s in the lowlands, in the mid to upper 70s in the Willamette Valley, and in the low to mid 60s on the coast. Eastern Washington will reach the low 70s to mid 80s.

One weather item to note is cooler morning lows. You’ll probably notice this if you’re outside in the morning. Below is the European model forecast for lows on Wednesday morning.

It’s been awhile since the map has been blue! In Western Washington, expect lows in the upper 40s to low 50s. The mountains will drop to the mid 30s to mid 40s, and Eastern Washington will drop to the upper 40s to upper 50s.

Lows like this are expected most mornings through Saturday, except Thursday.

Continuing on with the temperature forecast, below is the European model forecast for Thursday.

On Thursday, expect lowland highs in the upper 60s to low 70s (cooler due to clouds), in the mid to upper 70s in the Willamette Valley, and in the low to mid 60s on the coast. Eastern Washington will reach the mid 70s to mid 80s.

Temperatures will slightly increase on Friday, as seen in the European model forecast below.

On Friday, expect lowland highs in the low to mid 70s, Willamette Valley highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, coastal highs in the low to mid 60s, and Eastern Washington highs in the upper 70s to upper 80s, hottest in the Columbia Basin.

We’ll wrap up with a look at the upcoming precipitation forecast, showing total rain through Friday night on the European Ensemble forecast (EPS).

Notice a chance of light rain on the coast, in the mountains, and in far eastern portions of Eastern WA. The lowlands will likely remain dry, with a slight chance of brief sprinkles on Thursday.
