Summer Weather is Here!

After a much wetter than normal start to June, warmer and drier weather is forecast!

Let’s take a look at the Puyallup forecast from Weather Underground.

A prolonged warm stretch is ahead! Temperatures in the upper 70s are likely from Thursday to Saturday. Then, on Sunday, temperatures warm to the lower 80s.

The warmest day is expected to be Monday, with temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s. This will be the warmest day of the year so far, with the hottest temperatures in the valleys. Tuesday will also be hot, with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. More information on the heat in upcoming blogs.

Temperatures from Tuesday to next Saturday (26th) will be above normal. Below is the NWS Climate Prediction Center’s outlook showing departure from average temperatures.

The graphic shows 60-70% above average temperatures for Washington. Additionally, above average temperatures are likely across the West.

We will have to see how the upcoming weather impacts the drought and fire weather situations, so stay tuned.
